What We Do
Each flower is carefully crafted to help lighten our community through small acts of kindness. The flowers we make are infused with (talk about flowers being environmentally friendly and general info on how we make and deliver them, working with VNET, ext.)
Our Mission
We believe that every space needs some positivity, and every flower we create is a small way to achieve that. We are here to support nursing homes residents and staff, patients and employees at hospitals, and anyone else who needs a little brightness that won’t fade. That’s why our flowers are made to not fade and do not require maintenance or care. Join us as we bring light to our community and work together to create brightness that will never fade. We will make communities brighter, one flower at a time!
Our Story
We started this journey with The Flower Basket by taking a small project from our Professional Skills Curriculum and entering the SkillsUSA Career Pathways Showcase, not knowing how far it would take us. After taking Gold at the SkillsUSA District 10 competition, we earned our way to the SkillsUSA States competition. We then proceeded to win Gold at the SkillsUSA States competition and are progressing even further to the SkillsUSA Nationals competition, which is coming up in early June.
Looking Ahead
Even getting to this point has taken a great deal of hard work, collaboration, creativity, and a true passion for computer networking and making a difference, and we plan to put a lot more in to take our project as far as it goes. What began as a simple class project has grown into something much larger than we ever imagined. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve started – and this is just the beginning for The Flower Basket.
