The Ignition of Our Passion
At The Flower Basket, we believe that everyone deserves brightness that will not fade or die. That is why we created paper flowers designed to bring light to people and places who need them the most. Our goal is to not only make spaces brighter but create an impact that will not wilt.
The project began as a small idea, sparked by Kori Bement, Eli Stonestreet, and Alexander Beers during their participation in SkillsUSA’s Career Pathways Showcase. As part of the competition, the team was tasked with developing a product or innovative concept that aligned with their technical trade: Computer Networking. During their research, they noticed that many spaces like nursing homes, hospitals, and other locations often lacked ways to bring light to their spaces. That realization struck something in them to bring light to people and spaces around their community.
Motivated by a passion for computer networking and a desire to make a difference, they set out to make paper flowers that would never fade to bring light to those settings and whoever needed brightness. With input from our advisors, local businesses, and nursing homes, the flowers are designed to bring small bits of joy to spaces which will not wilt, require maintenance, or die.
At The Flower Basket, we’re more than just a project. We are on a mission to brighten spaces and our community. Join us on our journey to make every space a bit more welcoming!
Our Mission
Many community spaces, such as nursing homes, hospitals, and other locations, lack brightness. At The Flower Basket, our mission is to change that and bring light to the locations that need them the most. We provide paper flowers to nursing homes, hospitals, and other locations which need the brightness the most to spread some light to them. When spaces are bright, people in those spaces thrive. Whether they’re a resident in a nursing home, patient in a hospital, or just someone who needs some brightness in their life, we are there to help bring them that positivity. Our goal is to foster spaces which are brighter in ways that don’t fade.
